In our society moving forward, as the fourth industrial revolution progresses and advanced robotics and artificial intelligence become widespread, graduating from a university where you only learn "knowledge" or from a vocational school where you only acquire "skills" will not make you a "capable person" who can succeed in the real world. In the future, the people who will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and succeed in the workplace, companies, industries, and society will be those who have acquired the Five Professional Skills. Akademeia 21st Century calls these people Five Star Professionals, and has developed a unique, practical, and experiential curriculum called the "Seven Step Curriculum" to offer to all our students and help them become such professionals.

Reflection Lab

The "technique of review and self-reflection" taught in the Reflection Lab dramatically improves the learning effectiveness of individual and team activities in all our schools, and is a unique curriculum that only 21st Century Academy can offer.

What is Reflection?

Reflection is the process by which you look back on an activity from various perspectives after it has been completed, reflecting and thinking deeply about what went wrong and what needs to be improved. This reflection is conducted from the perspectives of the "team" and "individual," as well as the perspective of "skills" and "ethics."

Cutting-edge Expert Course

Akademeia 21st Century offers courses at 17 academies in four regions across the country, enabling students to acquire cutting-edge expert skills in 45 specialized fields.

Crossover Friday

21st Century Academia offers a unique curriculum called "Crossover Friday" to help students acquire the skills needed to become what we call a crossover expert,
a professional who is not only an outstanding expert in a single specialized field,
but also is able to collaborate easily with experts in other fields.

The Los Angeles Experience

Akademeia 21st Century has a campus in Los Angeles, California,
a center of film, music, art, tourism, and entertainment,  and offers a short-term study abroad curriculum
through which students can participate in a variety of local events and workshops.

 We also offer practical, experiential curricula for improving language skills, such as "English Time Online,"
"Online Study Abroad," and "International Magazine Editing & Publishing."

Through real-time online classes, students can experience overseas learning while remaining in Japan, and through Akademeia 21st Century's unique curriculum, students can listen to talks by leading experts from overseas and learn the real-life ins and outs of various industries. In addition, all students can take "English Time Online," a program aimed at improving English skills, starting at a level that suits their abilities.

Your writing, to the world!

Tokyo Journal is an international English magazine that is distributed in consulates, international airports, and on international flights, and is read by people around the world. Students themselves take part in editing the magazine and student-written articles are distributed throughout the world.

President's Five Star Professional Course

To become a professional who can thrive in the real world, it is essential to acquire the Five Professional Skills,
and at Akademeia 21st Century we offer a Professional Course taught directly by President Tasaka,
who has nurtured first-class professionals for many years. 
This course is open to everyone
and is a unique curriculum that only Akademeia 21st Century can provide.

Five Star Professional

"Five Star Professional" is a term created by Akademeia 21st Century for professionals who will be active in the coming era.
It is a special title given to graduates who have acquired the "five professional skills."
This special qualification is given only to students who complete the "Fuji Five Lakes Summit" curriculum developed and offered by the "Five Star Professional Institute" based at the Fuji Five Lakes Akademeia.
As proof of this, they are presented with a special badge and a certificate of completion.
STEP 06

Crossover Summit

Akademeia 21st Century hosts a "Crossover Summit"
where all our students across all fields of expertise come together 
to demonstrate their ability to work together as a team, create collaborative works, and hold collaborative events.

From the Crossover Summit to the heights of the Fuji Five Lakes Summit

The "Crossover Summit," where students from each program, department, and school 
work together to create collaborative works and host collaborative events, 
is the best curriculum for acquiring and honing the Five professional Skills and Five Interpersonal Skills. 
Teams and individuals that are recognized for their excellence throughout the year, including this summit, 
will compete for the top prize in the pinnacle of learning, the "Fuji Five Lakes Summit."
STEP 07

Fuji Five Lakes Summit

The selected student teams will gather at the Fuji Five Lakes Akademeia, surrounded by lush nature,
and in cooperation with the Fuji Five Lakes Natural Capital Region Forum, will 
compete in the Social Plan Contest, where they will attempt to show their own vision for Japan's future and
propose a plan for social change. 
Students with this vision and ambition will surely become professionals who
play an active role in Japan from here on out.

At the first Fuji Five Lakes Summit,
all participants practiced "team reflection" and "private reflection" throughout the entire 21-day process, 
learning techniques to continually hone their Five Professional skills and Five Interpersonal Skills.
