  • You Can Enter Business School Even With a Vocational School Degree
    Master of Business Administration (MBA)
    Graduate School Preparatory Course

Graduating from a business school where you gain management and business knowledge and methods, and obtaining an MBA (Master of Business Administration), is a powerful passport to advance your career in the real world. Until now, however, entering a business school typically required a university degree and at least three years of work experience. However, in partnership with Tama University Graduate School, renowned for its practical education, Akademeia 21st Century offers a unique opportunity: those with a vocational school degree and more than five years of work experience can now qualify for admission to the graduate school. This MBA Graduate School Preparatory Course is designed to prepare you for that journey.

    Hospitality Master Course

As the "Fourth Industrial Revolution" progresses, along with the "Robotics Revolution" and "Artificial Intelligence Revolution," most jobs that humans have performed in the past will be taken over by robots and AI. In such an era, it is said that there will be three jobs that only humans can do and which cannot be replaced by robots or AI. Those jobs are jobs in "management," "creativity," and "hospitality." However, this "hospitality" will not simply be a matter of having a "service mindset." It will require a higher level of "reflective hospitality," or the ability to listen to the unspoken needs of the customer, deeply understand their emotions, and quietly observe one's own behavior and emotional responses. The technique for mastering this "reflective hospitality" has been developed and is offered exclusively by Akademeia 21st Century. Those who have mastered this technique by successfully completing this course will be awarded the qualification and title of "Akademeia 21st Century Hospitality Master."

    Social Artpreneur Course

A "Social Entrepreneur" is someone who creates new businesses to contribute to and change society, and the number of people aiming to become such entrepreneurs is increasing worldwide. In line with this trend, Akademeia 21st Century advocates for a new type of talent: the "Social Artpreneur." A "Social Artpreneur" uses their "art" (skills, techniques, or craft) to create businesses that contribute to and change society. Graduates of Akademeia 21st Century possess the "skills, techniques, and knowledge" in their respective fields and the drive to challenge themselves as artpreneurs. In this course, participants will take part in workshops designed to help them acquire the knowledge and methods necessary to create business plans and become artpreneurs. Each year, we also hold the "MED: Make Everyone Delighted" event, where participants present their business plans.

Fuji Five Lakes Workcation Entrepreneurship Course

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, remote work--working online without commuting to an office--has become widespread. The concept of "workcation" (work + vacation), where people work while enjoying a vacation in a beautiful tourist or resort area, has also become popular. In response to this trend, 21st Century Academia has partnered with Yamanashi Prefecture to promote the "Fuji Five Lakes Natural Capital Area Forum" and the "Art City Fuji Five Lakes Concept" to transform the scenic Fuji Five Lakes region into a new metropolitan hub. Supported by Yamanashi Prefecture, we are creating artist and startup communities in this region. In addition, our "Fuji Five Lakes Akademeia" campus, located on the shores of Lake Kawaguchi, offers support to those who want to embrace the "Fuji Five Lakes Workcation" lifestyle--living in a resort area while connecting online with the metropolitan area and the rest of the country.
